The Dwelling Doctors Procedure:

Hail, wind and storm damage are considered an insurance loss on your homeowner's policy. Most insurance companies will pay the entire cost, less your deductible, for replacing the roof if it is damaged. The claim is also considered a natural disaster and does not count against you for future rate increases. Dwelling Doctors specializes in accident and weather related damage repair and replacement; including exterior roofing, gutters, siding, widows; and interior painting, sheetrock, ceiling texture, flooring, and carpet cleaning. We will help you deal with your insurance company and meet with your insurance adjuster if requested. Our involvement prevents you from getting stuck with a settlement that won't cover your costs, or even worse, getting denied. With Dwelling Doctors you pay no out-of-pocket expense other than your insurance deductible. We agree to accept what your insurance company will pay for the claim, including your deductible, and ensure the highest quality repair or replacement. You may also benefit from upgrades that we typically offer as signing incentives, such as upgrading the customer from 3-tab shingles to architectural shingles at no additional charge.

Easy As 1, 2, 3....

1. First, we ask that you provide us with a copy of your insurance adjusters summary report so we can review the scope of work and check all measurements to ensure all damage is fairly evaluated and reported accurately
2. Second, we match our contract to the work specified in the insurance adjuster summary report, including any supplements that may need to be added if the insurance adjuster missed something.
3. Third, we fax the signed contract to the insurance company.
4. We install your new roof and complete all repairs, we invoice the insurance co. on your behalf. The insurance company will issue all the checks directly to you.

When it comes to assessing hail damage to roofs and home exteriors, many homeowners don't realize the extent of their problems until it's too late. It's vital to respond to hail damage in a timely manner because under most state laws, insurance companies only cover relevant damage claims made within one year of the storm --- after that, you become liable for all costs. Along with the wind and rain that can accompany a storm, hail is one of the most damaging elements to home exteriors. Hail damage to roofs, particularly asphalt shingles, can cause soft spots or bruising that may be impossible to notice. Hail can also cause dents in gutters and roof vents, as well as cause fiber shingles to be exposed. Check your roof regularly and always immediately after a storm to assess any possible hail damage. Regular inspection will not only help you avoid long-term problems such as leaking, but it will also give you accurate information to relay to your insurance provider.
Because hail damage to asphalt shingles is almost indistinguishable from shingle blisters or rashes, it's important to contact Dwelling Doctors, who will fight for your new roof!
